Dear Adam,

I have been attempting to run my sneaker customizing business for around 6 months and I say ‘attempting’ because up to now I have done an admittedly awful job. I dived into this project without thinking things through properly and because of the overwhelming response to my designs, I received too many orders for me to handle. Over the last 6 months I have only completed a few of the jobs I was paid for, and I have hidden away from the rest and pretended they never existed. This is a terrible way to run a business and now that I am thinking clearly, I am ashamed of myself.
Over the last week, I have asked for help from those around me (friends and family), and they will help me complete those orders I have been hiding from. The aim of this email is to ‘come clean’ to you, and ask for your forgiveness. I can now give you 2 options, the first is a full refund, and this WILL be paid back to you on the 19th of February should you wish to take a refund. The second option is to let me complete the order and send the shoes to you by the end of the month.

Hi! I am sorry I have not been in touch since the deadline, a combination of a broken laptop, university and stressing over sneakers have been a problem! Anyway, let me explain. I finished all my outstanding orders 2 days late :S and then the sealant I used had a bluey tint and destroyed one of the pairs I made, I have been in touch with the customer and its caused me to lose an order. Turns out the sealant was past its ‘use before’ date, I didn’t know one existed for acrylics!?!? So, I have ordered a new one from TurtleFeathers and it should be here any day now, so, once I receive it, I will send them and let you know and provide a tracking number.

I know, dumb!!!!! So I started a second and I just could not get the right after changing and changing. So, I binned them and began a third pair!

I’m already waiting for more than six months for my sneakers. When I e-mail mr Reese I don’t get any reaction.
Now I’m getting angry too. This takes way to long. The only problem is that the website looks so professional that you don’t think it’s fraud.
If I look at your story, it looks like we’re not the only one. But isn’t there any possibility to do something against this, so there will be no more victims? Isn’t there any instance in the UK that acts against internet fraud?

Well, here’s another one!
I ordered my shoes around 20 september, i emailed daniel to make sure if everything was right but no response.
27 september I emailed again,this time he answered that he couldn’t find my email so I re-send my email. Since then no response, I emailed again a few times. I even called but no one is picking up.
The shoes are supposed to be a big surprise for my girlfriends 18th birthday so I really really hope that I receive them soon!

Just a warning – I have not had a good experience with Daniel Reese who trades under the name of Brass Monki. His products look great and so we ordered a pair of sneakers in late 2009. We have had lots of communication with Daniel, and he made many promises that all seemed very genuine. We have communicated via email and sykpe and Daniel seems like a nice lad, so we have allowed him plenty of time to resolve the situation. I think it is time to give up on ever receiving the products, which is really disappointing. I have sent him various messages on Twitter as well, which he sometimes responded to, but his twitter account seems to be suspended (not for the first time). Anyway before anybody orders a product from Daniel at Brass Monki I hope they do a search and they find this post and thing twice about pressing the pay button.

Sorry, I should explain a little more. I completed your sneakers and had them in the studio. But, I didn’t box them up and protect them. Sooner or later, paints gna get them and the did. I know, dumb!!!!! So I started a second and I just could not get the right after changing and changing. So, I binned them and began a third pair!
